The city of Marrakech will host, from October 17 to 19, the annual meeting of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), an event held for the first time in Morocco.
The meeting will bring together representatives of some hundred capital market regulatory authorities and other members of the international financial community. Nearly 400 people are expected to attend the event.
The International Organization of Securities Commissions is the leading institution for capital market regulators worldwide. IOSCO collaborates with the G20, the Financial Stability Board (FSB), as well as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, which have adopted IOSCO’s standards as a reference for the sector.
Committed to IOSCO, the Moroccan Capital Market Authority is a member of its Board of Directors and chairs, since 2020, the regional committee “Africa & Middle East” which brings together 42 representatives of capital markets in the region.
On the sidelines of this meeting, the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (MCMA) is organising an international conference on October 20, 2022 under the theme “Global Capital Markets – Expect the unexpected: a trilemma for capital markets.”
This unique conference will bring together government officials, leading economists, financial experts and capital market regulators for a series of debates and discussions.
Five panels will address the key issues facing global financial markets through a programme rich in diversity and national and international speakers.
