The new coach of the Atlas Lions, Walid Regragui, unveiled on Monday an expanded list of 31 players who will take part in the September friendlies ahead of the World Cup.
Morocco will play two friendly matches against Chile, on September 23 in Barcelona, and Paraguay, on September 27 in Seville.
These two friendly matches will serve as preparation for the Atlas Lions for the World Cup scheduled to take place in Qatar in November and December. Following the draw, Morocco is in group F which includes Belgium, Croatia and Canada.
Regragui’s list is marked by the return of Hakim Ziyech and Younes Belhanda.
We also note the absences of Nayef Aguerd, Adam Masina, Tarik Tissoudali, due to injury, as well as Fayçal Fajr and Ayman Barkok not retained by the new Lions boss.
The list also includes some newcomers such as Walid Cheddira, striker of Bari (Italy) and Hamza El Moussaoui, left-back of RSB.
