The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Sunday defeated the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone 3-2 to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The match played at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia, Liberia, saw the Super Eagles take the lead in the 19th Minute of the match through Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen got his brace in the 32nd minute of the game to put the Super Eagles ahead of the half-time to bring the score line to 2-1.
Kargo got his brace in the 84th minute of the game to level scores at 2-2.
Kelechi Iheanacho tapped in the third goal for the Super Eagles from a through pass from Saidu Sanusi from the left flank to bring the score line to 3-2.
With this victory, Nigeria has qualified for the AFCON with one game yet to be played and top the group with 12 points from five games. Guinea-Bissau followed with 10 points.
