The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Sunday strongly condemned the deadly attack on a Benin army position in the northern region of the country on January 10, 2025.
The raid claimed the lives of around twenty individuals and left several others injured.
The Secretary-General of the OIC, Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, described the attack as cowardly and reprehensible, and called for an end to these heinous acts.
He reaffirmed the OIC’s full solidarity with the Benin authorities in their efforts to combat terrorism.
The Secretary-General also extended his condolences to the families of the victims, the government, and the people of Benin, and wished the injured a swift recovery.
