The Development Bank of Central African States (BDEAC) is committed to financing seven projects for the emergence of this part of the African continent.
At the beginning of this year, the disbursement promised by the Development Bank of Central African States establishes “a new record” insofar as it represents “more than half the volume of all commitments of the previous year,” the financial institution said.
The projects accelerating the integration of the sub-region take “an important place” in these financings concluded last Monday by the Board of Directors and the General Assembly of the Bank meeting in videoconference.
These include, according to the source, the construction project for the new Libreville Airport (Gabon), the Congo-Ocean Railway Rehabilitation and Equipment Project (Congo) and the Akurenam-Minang Road Development Project (Equatorial Guinea).
In addition, the Bank supports the private sector in agribusiness, industry, pharmaceutical health and microfinance. With this new financing, BDEAC has increased its interventions in favor of inclusive projects to more than CFAF 309 billion (and exceeds) the commitments made at the donors’ round table in Paris, France in November 2020 (CFAF 308 billion),” it explained.
