APA – Kigali (Rwanda) -Rwanda’s club Kiyovu Sports Greek coach Petros Koukouras has resigned from his position after he alleged the club violated parts of his contract, Sports sources confirmed Wednesday to APA in Kigali.
Koukouras, 34, was appointed as head coach of Kiyovu Sports Club in June this year to replace Alain-André Landeut, who had been reassigned from his coaching role to Sporting Manager.
Born in the Greek City of Kavala, Koukouras previously coached Ghanaian second tier side Pacific Heroes twice during the 2018/2019 season and in 2021 where he left after just four months.
He was also the assistant coach of the South Sudan national team from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020.
His last job was with Uganda Premier League side SC Villa where both parties parted ways through mutual agreement on June 23, 2022.
Koukouras holds a UEFA License A coaching certificate.
