Senegal’s Ministry of Health and Social Action has launched a new digital portal aimed at centralizing and disseminating critical public health information.
This initiative seeks to improve access to reliable and up-to-date health data for citizens, healthcare professionals, and public authorities.
The portal will serve as a central hub for information on diseases, vaccination campaigns, and key health indicators. It will also provide access to regional and national health statistics, preventive measures, and public health recommendations.
This platform is part of the Senegalese government’s broader efforts to modernize and digitize the health sector, enhancing transparency and facilitating informed decision-making. It is also expected to play a vital role in managing health crises by providing a unified source of reliable data for both authorities and the public.
“This portal represents a significant advancement for our health system, enabling us to centralize information in real-time and ensure the rapid and transparent dissemination of health data,” stated the Minister of Health during the platform’s launch.
With this initiative, Senegal aims to strengthen disease prevention, epidemic management, and overall health system efficiency, while improving communication between healthcare providers and the population.
