According to official figures released by the Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority (SLCAA), the number of incoming passengers increased by approximately 8,000 between 2023 and 2024.
In 2023, the airport recorded 119,005 incoming passengers. However, this figure saw a substantial increase in 2024, reaching 127,177 passengers, representing a notable growth in international arrivals.
This positive trend reflects the government’s efforts to boost tourism in Sierra Leone, including investments in infrastructure development and visa liberalization measures. The increase in passenger arrivals is expected to have a positive impact on the country’s economy, contributing to job creation and revenue generation in the tourism sector.
