A training aircraft belonging to Abyssinian Flight Services crashed in Jimma zone, Oromia regional state, south west of Ethiopia.
Ashenafi Tsegaye, project manager at Abyssinian Flight Services, told journalists on Friday that the Cessna 172 four-seat air craft crashed this morning at a place called Asendabo in Yem locality during a training mission.
He said a team of experts has been dispatched to the area to identify the extent of the disaster and investigate the cause of the accident.
He did not comment on casualities from the accident.
It is recalled that an Ethiopia private Trans Nations Airways helicopter crashed after take off, on April 26th, 2019.
The private helicopter had crashed 300 metres from Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa.
Trans Nation Airways is a charter airline based in Addis Ababa, and is one of the member of the Midroc technology group of companies.
