US carrier United Airlines will launch flights between Washington DC’s Dulles International Airport and Cape Town International Airport in November, the airline announced on Saturday.
The airline said it would offer service three times a week on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays using its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
This would be the airline’s second route to South Africa following its existing flights from New York to Johannesburg.
In total, the new United Airlines service would provide Cape Town travellers with access to 45 destinations, serving nearly 90 percent of all United States to Cape Town demand.
