APA-Nairoi (Kenya)The visiting Iranian president pays tribute to Kenya’s independence leader Jomo Kenyatta for his role in the non-aligned movement in the 1960s and 70s.
President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi spoke glowingly of late Kenyatta while visiting his tomb in the capital Nairobi.
Dr Raisi is continuing his travel plans in Kenya accompanied by President William Ruto and a number of MPs.
Jomo Kenyatta is the leader of the Kenyan independence movement who spent more than nine years in British jails.
He would become Kenya’s first president following independence from Britain.
