APA – Kigali (Rwanda) – The Rwanda Meteorology Agency on Thursday announced that the period between September and December will constitute an important rainfall season in major parts across the country.
“September to December period is one of the main rainy seasons in Rwanda which is very important for the buildup benefits on socio-economic sectors,” the weather watchdog said.
The national consensus on climate outlook for September to December 2023 season indicates higher chances of above normal conditions according to the global, regional and local climate factors influencing the seasonal rainfall pattern.
The forecasts show that over the next three months, rainfall ranging between 700 and 000 millimeters are expected in major parts of Southern and Western Rwanda around Nyungwe natural forest.
It explained that precipitations between 300 and 400 millimeters will be observed in major parts across Eastern Rwanda.
According to the weather forecast, the rainfall season will be specific to areas such as northern and western parts of the country.
