APA-Harare (Zimbabwe) At least 22 people were killed when a commuter omnibus collided with a truck in southwestern Zimbabwe on Tuesday night, the police announced on Wednesday.
According to the police, the fatal road accident occurred around 10pm (2000 GMT) along the highway linking the second city Bulawayo to Beitbridge town which is on the border between Zimbabwe and South Africa.
The 22 were killed on the spot while two others were injured.
The injured were transferred to a government hospital in Bulawayo.
This was the second fatal road traffic accident involving public transport on Tuesday. Another accident earlier in the day claimed six lives and injured three others along the highway linking Masvingo town to Beitbridge.
