A delegation from the Africa Civil Aviation Commission (ACAC), a Specialised Agency of the African Union led by Mrs. Adefunke Adeyemi, the Secretary General paid a working visit to Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, the President of the ECOWAS Commission, at the ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria on Thursday, December 8, 2022.
The statement by the ECOWAS Commission said that the delegation discussed issues of cooperation and deepening of cooperation between the two organisations.
Mrs. Adeyemi explained that the ACAC facilitates safe, secure, and environmentally friendly aviation industry.
It added that the ECOWAS President stated the importance of Air Transport and its key role to integration and stressed the need to open the airspaces and encourage competition.
