On Thursday, 13 March 2025, Idrissa Nassa, Chairman and CEO of Coris Holding, was received in audience by General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, President of Gabon, according to the Gabonese Presidency.
Keen to expand into Central Africa, the Burkinabe business leader—who recently acquired Total Energies in his home country—shared with the Gabonese leader the pan-African vision of his financial institution, which aims to become the go-to bank for supporting SMEs and SMIs across the continent.
The discussion between the two men focused primarily on the potential establishment of Coris Bank International in Gabon, the Gabonese Presidency reported.
“Impressed by the economic momentum driven by the Transitional President, the Coris Bank International group wishes to support Gabon and contribute to the implementation of the Head of State’s development program,” stated the communiqué from the Gabonese Presidency.
