Eleven people have died after a bomb hit a bus plying the road from Bandiagara and Goundaka in central Mali on Thursday afternoon, APA can report.
The region has been the target of jihadist violence in recent years.
It is not clear what kind of explosive device was used and who was responsible.
Local officais in Mopti say the death toll could be higher after several people were taken away injured from the blast which is being blamed on the jihadist insurgency which has rocked Mali.
Since 2014, thousands have died and tens of thousands more have fled their homes in face of the violence.
