Togo’s Restructuring and Upgrading Office (BRMN) wants to draw inspiration from the practices and strategies implemented by Senegal’s Upgrading Office, (BMN) to promote business competitiveness.
A delegation from Togo’s BRMN paid a working visit to the BMN-Senegal from 18 to 22 March 2024.
This initiative enabled the Director of BRMN Togo, Ms. Constance Sallah, accompanied by the Steering Committee, a consultant and an adviser to the Togolese Ministry of Investment Promotion, to immerse
themselves in Senegal’s experience in the field of upgrading, according to a memo seen by APA on Wednesday.
During the mission, the Togolese delegation held fruitful working sessions with the Director of BMN Senegal, Ms. Fatou Dyana Ba, as well as with all the stakeholders involved in the upgrading process in
Senegal, including the supervisory ministry, the steering committee, technical and financial partners and consultants.
In-depth discussions provided an opportunity to exchange views on the practices and strategies implemented to promote business competitiveness.
The delegation also had the opportunity to visit companies supported by BMN Senegal. This immersion in the field enabled the Togolese representatives to see first hand the concrete results of the upgrading programme in terms of increasing the competitiveness of Senegalese companies.
At the end of the mission, BRMN Togo left “very satisfied,” with the intention of applying the lessons learned from the Senegalese experience in their own context.
Discussions were also held on future areas of collaboration between the two institutions, demonstrating the desire to strengthen ties and exchange best practices in the field of business upgrading in West Africa.
