Eswatini Prime Minister Ambrose Dlamini has been admitted to hospital after he developed “mild symptoms” of the coronavirus, government spokesman Sabelo Dlamini said on Monday.
According to the official, Dlamini has been advised to check into a health facility where his condition would be monitored.
“Doctors have since recommended that he be admitted to hospital this morning for monitoring and recuperation,” the spokesman said.
Dlamini tested positive for COVID-19 last week and has been working from home since then.
Eswatini had as of Monday recorded 6,219 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 120 deaths.
