Gambia has appointed a new minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment, an appointment which came into effect on Thursday according to a statement by the Office of the President.
Baboucarr Ousmaila Joof has been confirmed as President Adama Barrow’s pick to head the ministry which had been vacant since he formed a new govermment following his reelection last December.
Prior to his latest deployment to the trade ministry, Mr. Joof was the minister responsible for the Public Service, Administrative Reforms, Policy Coordination and Delivery.
In the same breath the Gambian leader has named Baboucarr Bouy as the new Minister of Public Service, Administrative Reforms, Policy Coordination and Delivery, effective 1st November 2022.
