The Porcupine Warriors blew away their chance of sealing qualification last week in Kumasi following 1-1 draw with Sudanese giant, Al Hillal . Kotoko is approaching the final game with seven points against the bottom place Zesco United with “must –win” mentality.
In third position with seven point, a win would take them to 10 points and their qualification depends on the outcome of their ability to scale the Zesco hurdle and also the game between Nkana United and Al Hillal. Zesco is known for better home record.
Coach Charles Akonnor has put in place strategies to mitigate the threat of Zesco as his job is on the line if he fails to sail through to the next stage of the competition. Already, vociferous fans of the club are marshaling up against him after coming from a goal down to draw against Al Hillal at home.
