An 11-year-old Kenyan girl has written to Morocco’s king Mohammed VI via the kingdom’s embassy in Nairobi for sending her local community in Kenya a ”timely gift of fertilizer”.
“For souls nobly born, valor doesn’t await the passing of years” . This quote from Pierre Corneille would fit well with the personality of Jayden Dixon Kaburu.
In a letter to King Mohammed VI, she thanked him for sending nearly 1.4 million bags of fertiliser to her country through the OCP Group, the world’s leading manufacturer of phosphate fertiliser.
In her letter, the young girl underlined the significant impact of the shipment of these fertilizers on the daily life of her community at a time when the war in Ukraine has deprived several African countries of these inputs that are essential for farming.
The embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Kenya praised the courage of young Jayden’s parents.
“Their perseverance, dedication and sacrifice have instilled in Jayden the noble values of gratitude, sharing and love,” the Moroccan diplomatic representation noted.
