APA-Rabat (Morocco) Morocco and dual island nation of Saint Kitts and Nevis have committed to strengthening and expanding the scope of their cooperation, expressing a willingness to conclude a new-generation diplomatic roadmap for the next three years (2024-2026).
In a joint communiqué issued following Wednesday’s talks in Rabat between the Moroccan foreign affairs minister, Nasser Bourita and his Kittitian counterpart, Denzil Llewellyn Douglas, the two parties also expressed their willingness to deepen and further consolidate their cooperation through the exchange of experiences and expertise in various areas of mutual interest.
Bourita and Douglas, who highly praised the current level of relations between the two countries, discussed several issues related to the current state and prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation to meet the aspirations and ambitions of the two countries.
In this regard, Saint Kitts and Nevis welcomed the cooperation program launched by Morocco since 2013 in the field of agriculture through the provision of fertilizers which have greatly benefited farmers in member countries of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States, as well as in the health and tourism sectors and in the development of human resources.
Bourita praised the results of the elections held on August 5, 2022 in Saint Kitts and Nevis, which are an integral part of maintaining good governance, prosperity, and stability in the Eastern Caribbean sub-region, the joint statement points out.
