South Africa’s newly appointed cabinet ministers will be sworn-in during a ceremony in Cape Town on Wednesday, presidential spokesperson Vincent Magwenya has announced.
President Cyril Ramaphosa on Sunday announced a bloated cabinet comprising 32 cabinet ministers and an equal number of deputy ministers as the inner circle of his new government of national unity.
The national executive is made up of ministers from 11 political parties.
The ministers and deputy ministers are expected to take their oath of office before Chief Justice Raymond Zondo at the National Assembly in Cape Town.
This formal event would mark the official assumption of their roles and responsibilities within the government.
