The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the series of deadly attacks on Burkina Faso, particularly in Soro province and the east, claiming numerous lives and injuring dozens.
In a statement to APA on Monday, OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha denounced the terrorist attacks, extending his deep condolences to the victims’ families and expressing solidarity with the government and people of Burkina Faso during this ordeal. He also wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
Reaffirming the OIC’s steadfast commitment to combating all forms of terrorism and extremism, the General Secretariat voices full support for Burkina Faso’s efforts to eradicate these threats to peace and stability in the region.
The statement underscores the OIC’s unwavering dedication to the security of its member states and its stand against indiscriminate violence that destabilises societies.
