The Moroccan civil aviation company Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has suspended its flights to and from Libreville following the closure of Gabonese airspace.
The closure of Gabonese airspace has led to the suspension of RAM flights to and from the capital, Libreville. According to a release from the national carrier, two main measures have been put in place to assist travelers affected by these cancellations.
One free change of date to or from Libreville will be allowed, subject to availability. This change is valid for a new travel date, which must be scheduled within 15 days of the reopening of Gabonese airspace.
RAM also offers the possibility of rerouting flights to another destination within its African network. However, it should be noted that any difference in airport taxes resulting from the change of destination will be borne by the passenger.
Passengers who provided valid contact details at the time of booking will receive email and SMS notifications confirming the cancellation of their flight. RAM also encourages passengers to check their flight status and to verify and update their contact information.
Passengers are also advised not to go to the airports, but to contact their original point of sale or the RAM call center to take advantage of the arrangements in place.
