Rwandan President Paul Kagame on Monday appointed Dr Sabin Nsanzimana, a long serving medical doctor as new minister of Health.
The reason for the sudden mini reshuffle was not clear, but it could be a move to broaden the support for the government.
Before this new appointment, Dr Nsanzimana has been serving as Director General of the University Teaching Hospital in Huye, Southern Rwanda.
He also served previously as Director General of Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC) The outgoing minister of Health, Dr Daniel Ngamije served as the Rwandan Minister of Health since February 2020.
