The meeting, led by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell and Senegalese Foreign Minister Yassine Fall, aimed to bolster economic cooperation and investment between the two countries.
Both delegations expressed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and identified key areas for collaboration, including agriculture, sustainable fisheries, technology, and public finance management. They agreed to work together to implement concrete initiatives that will benefit both nations.
The U.S. commended Senegal’s progress in fiscal transparency and its engagement with the International Monetary Fund. Both countries emphasized the importance of continued cooperation to address shared challenges and promote economic growth.
The next meeting of the Joint Economic Commission is scheduled to take place in Senegal.
