Following the message that the President of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema recently sent to the king of Morocco, the two countries continue to strengthen their bilateral relations, marked by increased cooperation in several strategic areas.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, received Caleb Fundanga, special envoy of the President of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema, in Rabat on Monday.
The latter delivered a written message addressed to King Mohammed VI, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
This meeting is part of the strengthening of bilateral ties between Morocco and Zambia, which have experienced sustained growth in recent years.
Rabat and Lusaka cooperate in several strategic sectors, including agriculture, infrastructure, training, and investment.
Morocco, committed to a pan-African approach under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, continues to strengthen its relations with the continent’s countries, including those of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), of which Zambia is a major player.
The delivery of this presidential message demonstrates the two countries’ desire to strengthen their diplomatic relations and explore new avenues for cooperation.
Zambia thus reaffirms its commitment to a partnership based on trust and solidarity with Morocco, as the kingdom strengthens its economic and diplomatic presence in Africa.
