The Confederation of African Football (CAF) says it will open AFCON ticket sales on October 13, with a 48-hour priority access period for Visa cardholders.
The launch marks the highly anticipated start of a process under intense scrutiny by millions of supporters across the continent.
Initially, ticket sales will be reserved for 48 hours exclusively for Visa cardholders, who will benefit from priority access starting on October 13 at 9:00 AM until October 15 at the same time.
Following this window, ticketing will open to the general public, accepting all other methods of payment. According to CAF, this phased approach aims to “streamline platform access and guarantee a better user experience during the massive sales launch.”
Fan ID and digital innovation
To support this process and modernize supporter management, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) has simultaneously launched the YALLA application. This all-in-one platform is dedicated to the Fan ID, a mandatory document for ticket purchase, as well as the e-visa/AEVM needed to enter Moroccan territory.
This digital innovation is part of the commitment to ensure a connected, secure, and fluid experience, aligned with international standards for major competitions.
CAF noted that this launch follows an initial delay: the first sales phase, originally scheduled for September 25, had to be suspended due to technical issues encountered during the rollout. This time, the governing body assures that all digital tools have been tested and stabilised to prevent any disruption upon going live.
Ticket purchase procedure
To obtain the Fan ID, every supporter must use the YALLA application, which is now available on Google Play and the App Store. This electronically issued Fan ID is mandatory and only allows the purchase of one ticket per match to ensure access traceability.
Finally, once the Fan ID is validated, Visa cardholders can access the official website tickets.cafonline.com starting Monday, October 13, at 9:00 AM (Moroccan time) to reserve their seats for AFCON Morocco-2025.
This procedure is designed to balance ease of use, transaction security, and the orderly management of supporter flow, just months ahead of the kick-off for African football’s most anticipated continental competition.
The AFCON Morocco-2025 finals will take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
