The Authority organised a launch ceremony in Cairo on Tuesday for the book “The Man of Destiny: A Biography of a Commander and the Journey of a Nation,” in the presence of several ministers, senior officials, writers, academics, and media representatives.

The ceremony began with the screening of a documentary combining photographs, archival footage, and previously unseen documents that trace the life of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, from his childhood in the Al-Gamaleya neighbourhood to his rise to the highest office.
The head of the National Press Authority, Abdel Sadek el-Chorbagui, stated that this book reflects a desire to preserve the memory of the major events that have shaped the country. He explained that its creation required more than a year of research, archival gathering, and fact-checking, with the participation of writers, researchers, and journalists, based on testimonies, official documents, and interviews with individuals who lived through this period.
According to the project leaders, the first part of the book focuses on the origins and military career of Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, as well as the context preceding the events of June 30th. The second part
addresses the project of building the modern Egyptian state, emphasising public policies, development, human capital training, and major national projects.
The ceremony continued with two roundtables dedicated, firstly, to the main themes developed in the book and, secondly, to legislative and institutional reforms, culture, the renewal of religious discourse, and women’s empowerment.
