The stories on the dreaded coronavirus (COVID-19) dominate the headlines of Ghanaian newspapers on Wednesday.
The Graphic said that wearing of face mask was not necessary when one was not infected, disabusing the minds of some traders and members of the general public, who have resorted to using them as preventive measures.
The newspaper also stated that the Greater Accra Regional Hospital Medical Director, Dr. Emmanuel Srofenyo, has urged Ghanaians to desist from going for voluntary testing for the COVID-19 at the early stages of the suspicion of infection.
They should rather submit themselves to the national protocols put in place to prevent any unlikely event of the spread of the disease.
The Ghanaian Times, for its part, says some teachers unions have appealed to President Nana Akufo-Addo to cause a change in the time-table for the basic education certificate examinations in the wake of the COVID-19 scare.
The newspaper reports that President Akufo-Addo is scheduled to confer with Parliament over the COVID-19, following the detection of some cases imported into the country.
