President Joseph Boakai has appointed Abraham Boimah Sillah, Sr. as Acting Solicitor General of Liberia, effective September 11, 2026, a statement from his office confirmed Friday.
Cllr. Sillah has over fifteen years of experience as a practicing lawyer, and served in various administrative capacities before being called to the Bar.
An Assistant Professor at the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, University of Liberia, Sillah teaches Environmental and Evidence Law.
He is a Counsellor of the Supreme Court Bar, and a member of the Liberia National Bar Association (LNBA).
The appointment follows the recent transition at the justice ministry and are intended to ensure continuity in the administration of justice and the effective discharge of the ministry’s responsibilities.
President Boakai expressed confidence in the integrity, professional competence, and experience of the new appointee urged him to carry out his function with diligence, impartiality, and fidelity in line with the country’s constitution.
