Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Nigerian filmmakers Damilola Osikoya of Switch Visual Production and Nora Awolowo of Rixel Studios on achieving a Guinness World Record.
The Presidential spokesperson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, said on Monday in Abuja that the filmmakers set the record for the largest attendance at a film screening with Black Market in Lagos on Saturday.
Tinubu celebrates their creativity, enterprise and ambition, describing the achievement as further evidence of the extraordinary talent driving Nigeria’s creative industry.
The President said that Nigeria’s creative economy is building businesses, creating jobs and opening new markets for Nigerian talent.
He noted that film, music, fashion and art are taking the country’s stories and culture to audiences worldwide.
Tinubu said the achievement of Black Market demonstrates what Nigerian creativity can accomplish when matched with enterprise and scale.
He reaffirms his administration’s commitment to creating more opportunities for young Nigerians to build livelihoods and globally competitive businesses from their talents.
The Nigerian President commended everyone involved in Black Market and wished the team greater success.
