Zambia will host the 4th Canada-Africa Business Conference in Lusaka in September, with President Hakainde Hichilema set to open the event.
The two-day conference, slated for 29-30 September, will bring together industry leaders, policymakers and investors to explore opportunities in mining, energy, entrepreneurship and trade collaboration.
Organisers said the event will feature keynote addresses, interactive panels and a closing reception, followed by an exclusive networking programme for members of the Canada-Africa Chamber of Business.
Canada-Africa Chamber of Business president Garreth Bloor expressed enthusiasm about accelerating commercial ties between Canada and Zambia, citing the country’s role as a gateway market for Canadian businesses.
“Canada and Zambia stand to accelerate commercial ties through private sector partnerships and investment, building on the momentum already at play in this exciting market – a great country in which we are honoured to hold our upcoming two-day programme,” Bloor said on Friday.
Zambia’s rich mineral resources and entrepreneurial economy make it an attractive destination for Canadian businesses looking to expand in Africa.
The event follows the successful 2024 Canada-Africa Business Conference in Zimbabwe where delegates engaged in site visits focused on mining and energy, showcasing Canada’s investment footprint in Southern Africa.
