Air Senegal announced on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, the expansion of its codeshare agreement with Royal Air Maroc (RAM).
This enhanced partnership will offer Air Senegal passengers new direct connections to Milan, Barcelona, Montreal, and Lyon via Casablanca, starting July 21st.
The announcement was made by Air Senegal’s CEO via X (formerly Twitter). “Following my meeting with Mr. Abdelhamid Addou, Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc, as well as the work carried out by our respective teams, I am pleased to announce the extension of the codeshare agreement between Air Senegal and Royal Air Maroc,” the Senegalese official wrote.
This codeshare agreement, initially signed in September 2023, already permitted both airlines to transfer passengers and issue tickets on each other’s networks. “Today, we are taking a further step,” he added, clarifying that Air Senegal passengers will now be able to book a single ticket for these newly added destinations in Europe and North America.
The CEO of Air Senegal lauded the collaboration as “a cooperation that embodies our shared desire to build a strong African aviation industry, open to the world and focused on the customer experience.”
Royal Air Maroc has maintained a presence in Senegal since 1958, when it inaugurated the Casablanca-Dakar route. RAM is currently the second most active airline in the Senegalese market, following Air Senegal. The airline operates multiple weekly flights between Dakar and Casablanca, thereby facilitating international connections and strengthening air and economic ties between the two West African nations.
