A total of 136 newly commissioned specialist officers officially joined the Burkina Faso Armed Forces on Tuesday following a graduation ceremony at Guillaume-Ouédraogo Camp in Ouagadougou.
Presided over by Chief of General Staff Major General Moussa Diallo, the event celebrated the completion of rigorous training at the Georges-Namoano Military Academy (AMGN) for the 16th class of specialist officer cadets.
The graduating cohort of second lieutenants includes 103 officers recruited through direct competitive examinations and 33 admitted via the internal training continuum, representing 29 distinct technical specializations. Addressing the new officers, Major General Diallo emphasized the core values of honor, discipline, and loyalty required in national service, highlighting that their specialized expertise will directly strengthen the operational capabilities and human resources of the National Armed Forces as the country continues to navigate ongoing regional security challenges.
