Côte d’Ivoire is taking a decisive step in protecting its digital ecosystem.
The National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI) and the African Higher School of Information and Communication Technologies (ESATIC) brought together, on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, experts from the sector in Abidjan, to validate the educational models of the brand new Master in Cybersecurity.
This strategic workshop aims to sift through the content of this future cutting-edge training. The challenge is to guarantee a perfect match between the academic program, the requirements of the job market and international standards.
This initiative implements the roadmap of the Ministry of Digital Transition and Technological Innovation, which places digital trust at the heart of its priorities.
For Elie Konan, deputy director of ANSSI, this partnership with ESATIC directly responds to his institution’s national capacity building missions.
“By training a new generation of cybersecurity professionals, we are strengthening national skills and making a lasting contribution to the digital resilience of Côte d’Ivoire,” he declared at the opening of the work.
This training program will offer two major and complementary specialties: on the one hand, information systems security, and on the other hand, digital forensics.
Beyond the diplomas, Elie Konan insisted on the three major challenges that this Master aims to meet: ensuring the strategic autonomy of the country, filling the deficit in qualified labour and stimulating the employability of young Ivorians.
The director of ESATIC, Adama Konate, recalled that computer security has changed dimensions. It is no longer a simple technical challenge, but an imperative of national sovereignty, governance and continuity of public services.
The establishment, which will directly administer this programme, in close collaboration with ANSSI, wishes to train high-level specialists.
Future graduates will be armed to prevent threats, protect critical infrastructure, detect incidents and also respond to cyberattacks.
To achieve this, the program will cover an ultra-complete spectrum: from network security to cloud computing, including cryptography, connected objects, auditing, risk management and digital investigation.
The conclusions and recommendations of the participants at the workshop on the educational model of this training will be crucial to seal the credibility and international scope of this Master in cybersecurity, promised to become a sub-regional reference.
