Egypt and Italy are set to convene their Joint High Commission on Thursday, September 3, in Cairo – following a hiatus described as lasting a decade – to revive political cooperation and business relations, the Egyptian ambassador to Rome, Bassam Rady announced.
An upcoming meeting of the Italian-Egyptian Joint High Commission is to be co-chaired by the foreign ministers and will include several government officials. Discussions will focus on bilateral issues and political matters of mutual interest.
A business forum is scheduled to take place concurrently, featuring companies, employer organizations, and investment agencies.
The sectors announced include transportation, logistics, infrastructure, telecommunications, energy, and industrial equipment.
Business-to-business meetings are also planned to identify projects and their financing opportunities.
At this stage, this is merely an announced work plan: no total value of contracts can be attributed to a meeting that has not yet taken place.
