Parts of the Sierra Leonean capital remains submerged under water following days of torrential rain which claimed three lives, apparently swept away by rushing floodwater, APA can report on Friday.
One remain missing as the Sierra Leone Police intensifies it search for the victim who belonged to the same family of six, three of whom drowned in the floodwaters after a fenced collapsed on them due to unrelenting downpour.
Whole districts of Freetown were flooded as rains continued for days on end beginning on Tuesday.
The incident happened at 54 Off Pratt Street, New England Ville in Freetown.
The National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) has issued warnings to adults to keep children indoors, away from open drains, culverts, or floodwaters during the rains.
