Weeks after the Gabonese leader visited Banjul, President Barrow has reciprocated the trip by traveling to Libreville as a special guest as Gabon marks 66 years of independence, APA can report on Monday.
President Barrow was welcomed by his Gabonese counterpart Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema at the Léon Mba International Airport on Sunday.
The Gambian leader joins several other heads of state invited to Gabon for the occasion which kicked off with the inauguration of the Hotel des Affaires Étrangères Maison Jean Ping, before a state banquet was held in their honour.
Members of the Gambian diaspora in Gabon were also present to welcome President Barrow who is accompanied by First Lady Fatou Bah-Barrow.
The Gabonese leader was on a four-day working visit to The Gambia from July 30 to August 2 during which he held talks with President Barrow over improving work and trade ties between their two countries.
