The Joint Command and Staff College (JCSC) in Karen hosted a delegation from the Zambia Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) on Monday, September 28, advancing strategic military cooperation and institutional knowledge sharing between East and Southern African defense establishments.
Led by Colonel Charles Chembo, Head of Faculty Studies, and accompanied by Colonel Esnart Nyangu, Zambia’s Defence Adviser to Kenya, the visiting contingent included faculty members, administrative staff, and student officers participating in an educational study tour focused on modernizing officer professional development.
The bilateral engagement opened with a courtesy call on JCSC Commandant Major General Eric Kinuthia, followed by comprehensive briefings detailing the college’s operational mandate, curriculum architecture, academic methodologies, and administrative frameworks. During interactive plenary sessions, leaders from both defense colleges exchanged best practices regarding curriculum delivery, leadership training, and institutional administration. The Zambian delegation also inspected the facility’s specialized training infrastructure and academic resources, reinforcing regional security partnerships and standardizing professional military education practices across the continent.
