In a note, Gbagbo announced with “deep sadness” the passing of Mr. Alberic Niangbo, a former journalist with Ivorian Radio and Television (RTI, and a member of his party’s Communications Commission.
His death occurred on the morning of Saturday, October 4, 2025, following a long illness. The PPA-CI president, who extended his sincere condolences to the deceased’s family, praised his career marked by “loyalty, professionalism, and dedication.”
Laurent Gbagbo also instructed members of the PPA-CI leadership, as well as local party officials, to attend all stages of the funeral.
The funeral program has not yet been revealed.
