Renault Technologie Maroc (RTMA), the R&D arm of the Renault Group, is expanding its footprint in Morocco with the launch of a new strategic site at Tétouan Shore.
The opening of this engineering center marks a significant step in the evolution of Morocco’s industrial offering—from assembly operations toward applied research—positioning the country as a growing hub for automotive innovation.
The new facility is set to become a center of excellence in automotive engineering. It will oversee the development of new vehicles, provide support to Renault’s factories in Morocco, and explore emerging technologies.
The initiative is built around two complementary pillars: an advanced engineering headquarters in Tétouan and a unit integrated into Renault’s Tangier plant to enhance synergy between design and production.
This expansion aligns with the group’s broader strategy to position Morocco as a key technological node in its global industrial value chain.
Specifically, the Tétouan Shore site is envisioned as a tech-driven talent hub, focused on “New Tech” solutions tied to the digital transformation of the automotive sector.
The move further boosts the appeal of Morocco’s northern region, which is rapidly emerging as a center for digital services and engineering.
