Officers from the Dakar Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS), operating under the Central Office for the Suppression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS), arrested four suspects and confiscated a diverse array of illicit narcotics during an overnight counter-trafficking operation along the Rufisque–Zac Mbao–Keur Massar transit corridor.
Triggered by actionable intelligence regarding an impending cocaine transaction between September 15 and 16, 2026, narcotics investigators established surveillance in the Sipres neighborhood of Zac Mbao, apprehending the initial suspect before locating his residence in HLM Rufisque through operational tracking.
Subsequent searches of the property and an associated Jeep Cherokee resulted in the detention of two additional accomplices alongside the recovery of 300 grams of cocaine, 128 grams of cannabis, four grams of MDMA, ecstasy pills, and 123 grams of an unidentified crystalline substance. Law enforcement officers also impounded 725,000 CFA francs in currency, five mobile devices, administrative documentation, and a replica firearm. Expanding their perimeter to Keur Massar, investigators arrested a fourth suspect caught receiving a contraband delivery at his home, placing all four individuals in custody while urging the public to utilize confidential police hotlines to report ongoing narcotics activity.
