Senegal’s Sangomar oil field exported 2.94 million barrels of crude oil in September 2026, while the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) gas project shipped two cargoes of liquefied natural gas, according to data released on the performance of both sites.
During September, three cargoes of crude oil from Sangomar were sold on the international market.
However, the site experienced a downward shift in its production plateau, following a decrease in daily output.
Meanwhile, the Greater Tortue Ahmeyim project exported two cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG), totalling 0.33 million cubic meters. Its production plateau remained stable, reflecting the performance of the gas reservoir and the associated facilities.
These results highlight contrasting trends for the two hydrocarbon projects: a decline in oil production at Sangomar, contrasted with stable gas operations at GTA.
