In a major step toward its upcoming internal polls, the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) has officially released its official list of candidates and republished its register of eligible voters.
The publications come ahead of the party’s highly anticipated Constituency Elections scheduled for Saturday, July 11, 2026. According to a public notice issued by the APC National Secretariat on July 6, 2026, the records have been made available on the party’s official website (apcsl.net) as part of its ongoing commitment to transparency, due process, and constitutional compliance.
A key clarification raised by the National Secretariat concerns how names are currently appearing online. The party noted that the web portal presently displays only the names of candidates who submitted their applications electronically via the APC’s online platform. For aspiring candidates who submitted their applications manually, the party offered specific operational guidelines to ensure they are not disenfranchised. The manual applications have already been processed and signed by the National Secretary-General, following directives established during a previous consultative meeting with the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) at its Tower Hill headquarters in Freetown.
To ensure validation, the party advises these manual applicants to present their duly signed application forms directly to their respective Presiding Officers at their designated polling centers on election day. They must ensure this submission happens before the commencement of voting for proper verification and validation.
Alongside the candidate rosters, the National Secretariat has republished the Register of Eligible Voters for the July 11 elections. Party leadership is strongly advising all general members to carefully examine the published register as soon as possible. Members who detect any omissions, errors, or genuine concerns are urged to promptly communicate these discrepancies to party officials to ensure a clean and undisputed voting process on Saturday.
