FC Bayern has officially announced the season-long loan of Senegalese international Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea.
The 24-year-old striker will wear the number 11 shirt for the 2025/2026 season. According to a press release from the German club, Jackson was eager to join the team. Max Eberl, the board member for sport, praised the forward, saying,
“Nicolas is an experienced player despite his young age. He perfectly fits the profile we are looking for with his power and dynamism. He will immediately add value to our attack.”
Sporting Director Christoph Freund also highlighted Jackson’s positive attitude, speed, and goal-scoring ability, noting that he “will bring a new dimension to attacking play.”
For his part, Jackson expressed his pride in joining one of the “greatest clubs in the world” and promised to give his best to help Bayern win new titles.
Jackson began his career at Casa Sports in Senegal before joining Villarreal in 2019. After a loan spell with Mirandés, he made his La Liga debut in 2021. In 48 appearances for Villarreal, he scored 13 goals.
He signed with Chelsea in 2023, where he scored 30 goals in 81 games. With the Blues, he won the Europa Conference League in 2024 and the Club World Cup in 2025. Jackson, who has 19 caps for Senegal, is considered one of the most promising strikers of his generation.
