A delegation of 33 Egyptian companies from the agri-food and packaging sectors is undertaking a trade mission to Morocco on June 9 and 10 to strengthen industrial and commercial partnerships between the two countries.
Thirty-three Egyptian companies specialising in the food, packaging, printing, and paper industries are participating in a trade mission in Morocco on June 9 and 10, at the initiative of the Food
Export Council and Konzept, in partnership with the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Morocco (CFCIM) and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Egypt.
The mission is being conducted in cooperation with the Egyptian Export Council of Printing, Packaging, Paper, Books & Artworks (ECPP) and the Egyptian Trade Office in Morocco. It follows up on a first edition organised in 2023, which allowed companies from both countries to explore avenues for cooperation in several industrial sectors.
The program began on June 9 with an information session on the business environment in Morocco, followed by site visits designed to introduce Egyptian companies to the kingdom’s infrastructure, distribution channels, and industrial ecosystem.
Organisers stated that the objective is to facilitate the identification of commercial and industrial opportunities between operators in both markets.
The meeting brought together several institutional and economic stakeholders, including the Egyptian Ambassador to Morocco, Ahmed Nehad Abdellatif, as well as representatives from the Moroccan Ministry of Industry and Trade, the National Office for Food Safety (ONSSA), the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration, the Label’Vie Group, and the Derb Omar Union of Traders and Professionals.
The mission will continue on June 10 with a day of business meetings held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Casablanca. This B2B event will allow Moroccan companies to meet directly with Egyptian delegations, learn about their offerings, and assess potential cooperation opportunities in the agri-food, packaging, printing, and paper sectors.
According to the organisers, this initiative aims to support closer economic ties between Morocco and Egypt, stimulate bilateral trade, and foster the establishment of sustainable partnerships that can generate new business opportunities for companies in both countries.
