Eritrea is empowering its youth by equipping them with leadership skills to actively contribute to community development.
The Ministry of Information said on Wednesday that 73 young people engaged in youth activities at local administrations and village levels have participated in an intensive administration and leadership programme in the Adi-Keih sub-zone.
The training was attended by youth from the six sub-zones of Tserona, Mai-Aini, Segeneity, Dekemhare, Senafe and Adi-Keih.
Girmay Gebru, head of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students said the training was designed to enhance the leadership capacity of young people and to expand their involvement in governance and community service.
Habtai Tesfazgi, administrator of the Adi-Keih sub-zone, urged trainees to apply their newly acquired knowledge to drive positive change.
As part of the programme, trainees also visited development sites in the Adi-Keih sub-zone, gaining firsthand insight into local projects and initiatives aimed at economic growth and infrastructure expansion.
