Guinean President General Mamadi Doumbouya issued executive decrees on Monday, October 26, 2026, appointing two new ministers to the cabinet led by Prime Minister Amadou Oury Bah.
According to official statements broadcast on national television, Fana Soumah returns to the cabinet as Minister of Communication, Digital Economy, and Innovation, replacing Mourana Soumah, while Ramatoulaye Camara steps into the role of Minister of Employment, Labour, and Social Protection, replacing Mory Condé.
The appointments conclude weeks of administrative interim management following cabinet vacancies in August 2026. Prior to his reappointment, Fana Soumah—who previously directed the communications ministry—served as a senior adviser to the presidency, whereas Ramatoulaye Camara served as Secretary-General and acting head of the labour department. The newly designated ministers are tasked with accelerating key structural programs, specifically expanding national digital infrastructure, refining public communication channels, and strengthening workforce integration and social protection frameworks under the executive mandate.
